In 2007 the last season was released, called Taiho Shichauzo: Full Throttle, directed by Koichi Ohata. In 2001 another season of the series was produced, Taiho Shichauzo: Second Season, consisting of 26 episodes.
In 1999, You’re Under Arrest: Mini Specials, a series consisting of 21 episodes, was released. This series consists of 51 episodes, aired on the Japanese network TBS and some episodes are based on the manga. In 1996 a second anime directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Atsuko Nakajima appeared in character design. On this occasion, it is not an animated version of the manga, but rather how it was the first meeting between Miyuki and Natsumi and how their friendship was forged, as always, with humor, action, and motorcycle and car chases.
The series was produced by Bandai Visual, directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, scripted by Michiko Yokote, and distributed by Kōdansha. In 1994 an anime adaptation was created in OVA format consisting of 4 episodes. The drawing is improving panel by panel, where Fujishima shows his originality and mastery in the detailed design of any car or motorcycle, where he includes all kinds of technical details. Taiho Shichauzo has the ingredients that Kosuke would later develop in his most successful work, Aa! Megami-sama. Both vehicles are designed with all kinds of technical details and sheets with all the data are included.
Equally important are the minicar and miniature bike that Miyuki and Natsumi use on their missions and that they prepare themselves. Other important characters in the play are his co-workers Nakajima (the shy handsome) and his father, Daimaru Yoriko (the companion with glasses) Aoi (undercover agent dressed as a woman) and the boss of all, as well as charismatic enemies like La Gorda del Scooter and the Masked Man, Strikeman. The plot tells short stories about the daily lives of two traffic policemen, Miyuki Kobayakawa and Natsumi Tsujimoto, full of humor, crazy stories, homemade technology cars and motorcycles.
